THE AIRFIELD
Aquila has two runways. Runway 05/23 has an 800m beautifully designed all-weather asphalt paved surface, and runway 09/27 offers a grassed surface. Aquila shares CTAF 126.55 with Maryborough and Hervey Bay airports. Aerodrome information can be found on OzRunways and AvPlan.
Your Aquila Club Card allows easy access to the fuel bowser located at the maintenance hangar.

WHALE WATCHING

K’GARI / FRASER ISLAND
The largest artificial reef in Australia is at Hervey Bay, covering over 50 underwater sites of different compositions. The Hervey Bay area has some good shallow water, coral-covered reefs and plenty of fish.
4X4 EXPERIENCE
Fraser Island is strictly 4 wheel drive territory. Seventy-Five Mile Beach is an actual highway that runs up the surf side of the island. Four-wheel-drives share the highway with Air Fraser planes making joy flights. Sand tracks cross the island linking lakes and rainforests.
