K’GARI / FRASER ISLAND
The largest artificial reef in Australia is at Hervey Bay, covering over 50 underwater sites of different compositions. The Hervey Bay area has some good shallow water, coral-covered reefs and plenty of fish.
4X4 EXPERIENCE
Fraser Island is strictly 4 wheel drive territory. Seventy-Five Mile Beach is an actual highway that runs up the surf side of the island. Four-wheel-drives share the highway with Air Fraser planes making joy flights. Sand tracks cross the island linking lakes and rainforests.
